The impeccable craftsmanship evident in this Japanese lacquered wood tea canister is a stunning example of traditional Japanese minimalism.
Each canister undergoes a unique manufacturing process that takes nearly a year. The process begins with naturally dried, core pieces of cherry or birch wood which are then thinned and hand-carved on a lathe. Several rounds of lacquer are rubbed on, wiped off and then dried.
Both impeccably crafted and elegantly designed, this canister is highly decorative and functional. Perfect for airtight loose leaf tea storage, with the lid doubling as a measuring cup.
Dimensions: 4.5” tall, 2.25” in diameter.
