Over 1400 years ago, a large piece of fragrant driftwood washed ashore on the tiny Japanese island of Awaji. Locals presented it as a gift to Empress Suiko, and thus began appreciation for what we now know as incense.
Deep yet subtle, the scent named Go-zan (Five Hills) is perfect for a centered sense of calm and contemplation.
Made in Japan by traditional incense maker Shoyeido who has operated from their Kyoto location for over 300 years.
35 sticks; 8.75" long.
